I built this to fix my own problem. These days I pay for everything with a QR transfer, and my photo album fills up with slips, yet at the end of the month I still couldn't tell where the money went. Logging by hand never lasted more than a few days, so I made this app.

FAQ
JaiJod is an iPhone expense tracker for people who pay by bank transfer or QR. Pick a transfer slip you already have and JaiJod reads the amount, payee and date and suggests a category; you check it and save. Paid in cash? Say or type one sentence, like “coffee 60, chicken rice 50”, and get several entries at once.
Yes. It's a free download and every feature is included. There are currently no in-app purchases, no subscriptions and no ads.
An iPhone running iOS 18 or later (reading Thai text on slips needs iOS 18). Get it from the Thai App Store.
Yes. Text in the app follows the text size set on your iPhone, including the widgets and the card you see when you share a slip in from another app. Icons, buttons and layouts adjust too. The extra-large accessibility sizes aren't supported yet.
Not at the moment. JaiJod is available for iPhone only.
No. Tap “Continue as Guest” on the first screen; no personal details are needed (an anonymous user ID is created for you). The next time you open the app, it offers once to create an account with Google or Apple, and you can tap “Maybe Later”. No phone number or OTP.
Transfer slips from most Thai banking apps and receipts from some e-wallets, as screenshots or photos. JaiJod reads the amount, payee, date, bank and reference. For now it reads Thai-baht slips from Thailand only; foreign slips and paper shop receipts aren't supported.
Yes. Open the slip, tap Share and choose JaiJod to send it for scanning, or tap + › “Choose from Gallery” to pick up to 10 photos at a time from any album. Older slips work too, as long as the photo is still on your iPhone. On first launch, JaiJod also offers to find slips from the past 30 days in your photos.
JaiJod finds and reads slips for you, but you're the one who taps Save. Each time you open JaiJod it looks at new photos in your library. Slips it finds wait at the + button with a count, even if you close the app: tap +, then “Scan” to check the details and save, or “Don't Record” if you don't need them. To find today's slips yourself, tap “Sync Today's Slips” on Home. While the app is closed, JaiJod doesn't look for slips, and nothing is saved until you've checked it.
Before saving, you can check and edit every field: amount, payee, date and category. Photos that may not be slips start unselected, and possible duplicates are flagged. If a bank's slip reads wrong, send it to us via Settings › Help & Feedback › Report Issue (feel free to cover the account number first).
Press and hold +, or tap + › “Say an Expense”, and say several items in one sentence, like “coffee 60, chicken rice 50”. Rather type? Type the sentence instead, or choose “Manual Entry”.
Yes. In Settings › Budget › Month Starts On, pick any day from 1 to 31. Set the 25th and your budget, Home, Statistics and the widget count from the 25th to the 24th of the next month.
Yes, for the Home Screen and the Lock Screen, so you can see what you've spent today without opening the app. Medium and large widgets add Scan, Say and Add buttons, and the large one shows this month against your budget. To keep amounts private, turn on “Biometric Lock” and switch off “Show Amount in Widget”; the widget then shows ฿ •••• instead.
Not yet. JaiJod records expenses only and doesn't split them by account or wallet. Many people have asked for both, and they're noted. In the meantime, set a monthly budget and Home shows how much is left this month.
No. JaiJod doesn't connect to bank accounts, never asks for bank passwords, can't move or hold money and isn't a financial service. It only reads slip images you already have, to help you log expenses. JaiJod is not affiliated with any bank or payment provider.
It isn't recorded. Speech is turned into text on your iPhone and never saved as audio, and what you said is kept only with that entry on your device. The first time, your iPhone may need to prepare or download Thai speech support. If it can't turn Thai speech into text on the device, JaiJod lets you type instead.
Your entries, budgets, categories and what JaiJod remembers stay on your iPhone and aren't synced to a server, and slip reading and speech recognition happen on the device. Your account, update checks, the feedback you send and an anonymous usage count (which you can turn off in Settings) go through our servers as described in our Privacy Policy. No ads, no selling of data, no cross-app tracking.
JaiJod doesn't have in-app backup or sync yet. Deleting the app deletes your entries too, so export a CSV now and then from Settings › Export Data (you can keep it or open it in a spreadsheet, but it can't be imported back yet). Updating the app keeps all your data.
